The defendant, Timothy Warren Ledford, was charged by bill of information with possession of marijuana, in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966(D)(1), and possession of drug paraphernalia, in violation of LSAR.S. 40:1033. After the trial court denied the defendants motion to suppress, the defendant entered a plea of guilty, reserving his right to seek review of the trial courts ruling pursuant to State v. Crosby, 338 So.2d 584 (La. 1976). The defendant was sentenced to pay a $500 fine plus costs and to serve six months in the parish jail. The execution of the sentence was suspended, and the defendant was placed on supervised probation for a period of one year.
